Job Description

We are hiring a Site Safety Manager for our Solar Farm near Powell Butte OR.

Monday - Friday 
7am - finish
$46/hr plus per diem if eligible
MUST have OSHA 500

Responsibilities:
a. Proficient in applying safety policies and procedures.
b. Committed to maintaining and promoting safe work practices.
c. Skilled in leading teams and delegating tasks effectively to ensure progress on key objectives and deliverables.
d. Collaborative team player with a demonstrated ability to foster and sustain productive internal and external relationships.
e. Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
f. Strong organizational aptitude and interpersonal skills.
g. Advanced problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
h. Experienced in mentoring, training, and coaching junior team members.

Daily Responsibilities

a. Attend daily foreperson meetings.
b. Conduct in-person site orientations for all workers and visitors.
c. Lead daily toolbox talks and Stretch & Flex sessions.
d. Implement a weather-related work management plan as needed.
e. Complete the JHA/PTP Audit Checklist.
f. Engage with site crew forepersons and Superintendents to verify that:

  • JHA and PTP reflect actual work activities.

  • Forepersons have safety support to prevent injuries.

  • Verification is documented through the JHA-PTP audit form.
    g. Submit Near Miss reports via Sunscreen or email to the Senior Site Safety Manager.
    h. Conduct and track site orientations.
    i. Supervise and manage assigned site safety representatives.
    j. Submit all relevant documentation (training, orientations, Near Misses, audits, safety issues) via Sunscreen or email.
