Job Summary
The Key Account Manager – New Business Growth is the main point of contact for customers. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, developing business opportunities, and ensuring company growth. The Key Account Manager also represents the global company brand, working to establish the company as a reliable partner in logistics and supply chain management. Success is based on customer satisfaction, profitable growth, and securing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationships & Strategy
- Manage relationships with key customers and maintain regular communication.
- Develop strategies to increase customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
- Lead discussions with customers to align solutions with their needs and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Attend customer meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to assess performance and identify new opportunities.
- Stay updated on market trends and competitive strategies to better serve customers.
Business Growth & Commercial Strategy
- Lead negotiations for new business, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company goals.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s reach.
- Manage RFQ (Request for Quote) processes and ensure coordination between departments.
- Collaborate with teams from Operations, Legal, Finance, etc., to create proposals and contracts.
- Represent the company at industry events to promote business growth.
Customer Engagement & Market Intelligence
- Build and maintain relationships across all levels of customer organizations.
- Gather and analyze market data to stay competitive.
- Communicate customer needs to internal teams to ensure alignment with goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in sales or account management, especially in automotive, renewable energy, or logistics industries.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain operations, logistics, and warehouse management systems.
- Experience in managing complex contracts and international logistics.
- Experience working in global, multi-cultural environments.
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including experience presenting to executives.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Self-motivated leader with strong analytical skills.
Travel
- Up to 30% travel, including international trips as needed.
