Job Description

Looking for a Lighting Showroom Sales Person in the Pelham area!

Job Qualifications:
  • Background in interior design and decorate lighting, mirrors, lamps - a plus
  • Retail sales and/or customer service experience
  • Comfortable as the Main Floor Representative - Greeting customers and handling calls
  • Able to advise on style, finishes, scale and placement
  • Positive attitude and eager to learn
  • Reliable, documented work history
Job Requirements:
  • Achieve and maintain technical capabilities at required levels; attend customer seminars, schools and special promotions - participate in sales meetings, vendor seminars and training schools to enhance and maintain personal and product knowledge
  • Able to exhibit a positive, friendly and helpful attitude with customers
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Excellent attendance record required
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • High School Diploma or Two-year technical degree or more preferred
  • Customer oriented and motivated with excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills and ability to drive decisions with influence
  • Product and application knowledge essential
  • Experience with construction sales desired
  • Equivalent experience in the industry with a strong sales background will be given serious consideration
Job Description:
  • Process telephone orders; quoting product prices, delivery specifications and payment terms - offering substitute products where appropriate
  • Assist outside sales personnel by processing priority transactions
  • Sell, market, promote and demonstrate products and increase business through product sales to new and existing customers
  • Prospect for new accounts within a specified geographical territory
  • Pursue product applications utilizing personal knowledge, internal specialists or other internal resources
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships
  • Process product quotations and provide continuous follow up
  • Coordinate and direct employee teams to assist in large customer projects
  • Gather and report to management, any information regarding the company
  • Other duties, as assigned
Job Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Overtime as needed
Pay Rate:
  • $18.00 per hour
  • Overtime Pay - Time and a half after 40 hours in one work week
  • Weekly Pay - Paycheck every Friday
  • Direct Deposit Available
