Local CDL A

We are looking for Local 2nd shift CDL- A Driver out of Howell, MI. This job will be a full-time position! The driver will be operating a forklift and switching trailers when needed.

Pay: Depending on experience and shift

Schedule: 2nd shift available - Home Daily - Monday through Friday with weekend work, typically a 8-9 hour shifts. Overtime is available! 

Job Description:
You will be transporting finished goods and raw materials such as automotive freight to and from manufacturing plants and distribution centers. You will be required to operate a forklift when not operating a commercial vehicle.
You will document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. As well as operating fork trucks/hilos when needed. Some physical unloading and loading may be required at times.  

Position Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience as a CDL truck driver.
• Must have a valid CDL-A Driver’s License and Fork Truck License or the ability to obtain one.
• Forklift experience and cross training abilities, warehousing and small parts knowledge.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Pass annual CDL-A driving test, written test and (DOT) medical exam.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of R/F Guns.
• Zero driving accidents in the past 3 years and no recent moving or driving violations.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
