Construction Manager – Utility Scale Solar Needed, Salisbury, MO Position 
Title: Construction Manager – Utility Scale Solar Location: Travel Required (Project-Based) 
Reports To: Director of Construction / Project Executive
Salary: $160/yr + $1000 per diem/wk Position 
Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the field execution of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing daily construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all quality standards and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate has experience managing large-scale renewable energy projects, coordinating subcontractors, and leading field teams through all phases of construction from site mobilization through commissioning. 
Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day field operations for utility-scale solar and BESS projects.Lead site safety efforts and ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and client safety requirements. Coordinate activities between subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders. Monitor project schedules and develop recovery plans when necessary. Review and track production rates, manpower levels, and equipment utilization. Conduct daily site meetings and weekly progress reviews.Ensure construction activities comply with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.Manage field budgets and assist with forecasting labor, equipment, and material costs.Identify and mitigate project risks before they impact schedule or budget. Review and approve subcontractor work progress and field reports. Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities. Support apprentice and workforce development initiatives while maintaining required labor ratios when applicable.
Prepare daily reports, schedule updates, and executive-level project summaries.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
5+ years of construction management experience.
3+ years managing utility-scale solar projects preferred.
Experience managing projects ranging from 50 MW to 500+ MW.
Strong understanding of civil, mechanical, and electrical construction activities.
Experience with EPC contractors and renewable energy developers.
Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar construction
management software.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel and work onsite at project locations.

High-voltage collection systems
Substation construction
Commissioning and startup activities
Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage projects
IRA apprenticeship and labor compliance requirements
