Job Title: Utility Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Utility Manager to lead the planning, execution, and oversight of utility construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, construction operations, and scheduling software such as Procore. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, oversee contractors, and ensure all projects meet regulatory, budget, and timeline expectations.
Key Responsibilities

Manage utility construction projects from start to finish, ensuring completion on time and within budget.

Create and maintain detailed project schedules using tools such as Procore.

Define project scope, set objectives, and deliver quality results while managing constraints.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards (e.g., NESC, NEC, OSHA).

Champion a safety-first culture, enforcing adherence to environmental and workplace safety standards.

Conduct cost estimates and resource planning using construction estimating software.

Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract terms.

Partner with site managers to enforce safety protocols and standards on job sites.

Track project milestones and provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders.

Implement construction management best practices to improve overall project delivery and efficiency.
Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the utility construction industry.

Proficiency in Procore or similar project scheduling tools.

Strong background in construction estimating and contract administration.

Solid knowledge of electrical utility systems, construction methods, and materials.

Excellent organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail.

Strong leadership and communication abilities to effectively coordinate with contractors and teams.

PMP certification is preferred.

OSHA 30 and other safety certifications are a plus.

Field experience on active construction sites is strongly preferred.
