Saw Operator - Metal Fabrication | $22-$24/hr | Mon-Fri

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our metal fabrication team. This role is ideal for someone who is strong with measuring tools, comfortable running industrial saws, and takes pride in accurate, clean cuts.

If you enjoy hands-on work, reading measurements, and working with metal, this is a solid long-term opportunity.

Schedule & Pay

• Monday – Friday

• Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

• Pay: $22 – $24 per hour (based on experience)

• Annual Average: $45,000 – $50,000

• Training Required:

  • 2 weeks

  • 5:00 AM – 12:30 PM

What You’ll Be Doing (Plain & Simple)

Saw Operation & Measuring (Main Focus)

• Operate industrial saws to cut metal bars, tubing, and materials

• Measure materials accurately using:

  • Tape measures

  • Calipers

  • Micrometers

  • Squares and gauges

• Set up cuts based on measurements and drawings

• Double-check dimensions before and after cutting to ensure accuracy

Metal Fabrication Basics

• Cut, shape, and prepare metal parts for fabrication

• Read basic blueprints and work orders

• Assist with fitting and assembling metal components

• Perform light welding or fabrication work (if experienced)

Machine & Material Handling

• Load and unload metal materials safely

• Set up saws and machines for different cuts and materials

• Keep tools and equipment clean and working properly

Quality & Safety

• Inspect finished parts for correct size and clean cuts

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

• Maintain an organized and safe work area

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience using measuring tools (this is key)

• Experience operating metal saws (cold saws, band saws, chop saws, etc.)

• Comfortable working with metal materials

• Ability to read measurements and follow instructions accurately

• Good attention to detail — precision matters

• Physically able to stand, lift, and work with metal

• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
